Allan Knox Player Inducted 1999
Allan Knox started playing softball in 1979 and continued to play through 1999. During that time, he won twenty-six MVP awards. He was a TVASA All-Star four times and, in 1989, was Player of the Year. Twice, he won the TVASA homerun derby. Allan played in five Metro tournaments, five Regional tournaments and two National tournaments. He played most of his career with Harrison’s of Chesapeake. The teams he played on won fourteen City League Championships. Allan had a lifetime batting average of .675 and averaged eighty homeruns per season. Allan was also an outstanding glove man as he was voted the best defensive third-baseman one season.
