At the time of his induction, Bill Branham was a veteran of thirty-two years of umpiring.  He umpired in twenty Metro tournaments, twelve Regional tournaments, three National tournaments and two Inter-service tournaments.  He also umpired in twelve NCAA Tournaments, thirteen Virginia High School Coaches All-Star games and in the Women’s Professional Fast Pitch League for three years.

 

Bill served as the TVASA Umpire-In-Chief for seven years.  He was the Central Atlantic Clinician for five years.  In 1987, he received the National Indicator Award, the highest honor for an umpire.  In 1990, he was certified as an International Federation umpire.
