Brenda had twenty-four years of softball history, starting when she was sixteen.  She played for her first woman’s team in 1969 called Bill’s Restaurant.  That year, the team beat Hick’s Beauty Academy and The Travelers to go to the National tournament in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Her career then swung over to the Peltz Brothers and the Virginians.  She began to play for The Travelers in 1972, remaining with them until 1988.  During the sixteen years with them, Brenda attended six National tournaments.  In 1988, she earned a position on the Women’s Class B National All-American Team in Drifton, Pennsylvania followed by a repeat performance in 1990 in Dothan, Alabama.  Brenda earned twelve MVP awards and, in 1987, she was the MVP in the Tidewater Virginia ASA All-Star game.  From 1982 through 1990, she was named to the TVASA All-Star Team.  For fifteen years, Brenda also played co-ed softball and won the TVASA Championship twice.  In 1991, she began managing a woman’s softball team.
