Tony has played softball for thirty years from 1976-2008. He played in over 2500 games including numerous tournaments.
He was selected as MVP on more than 10 occasions including making an All World Team when he led the team in hitting for the World Championships hitting .875.
He sponsored a team for 13 years and managed a team for 16. His teams competed in 4 Nationals and in 2003 won the ISSA World Championship.
In 2005 he organized a local "Winter League" that has continued play each winter to the present day.
In 2007 Tony was recipient of the Annual "Cecil Shirley" Sportsman and Humanitarian Award". This is a testament to his devotion and dedication to the game for Local Senior Athletes. This award is presented by the Tidewater Senior Athletic Association.
