Cary Carter played from 1965 to the time of his induction for a total of thirty-nine years.  He served as a player, coach and manager.  Cary attended six National tournaments, six State Championships, two Regional tournaments, and numerous Metro tournaments.  Cary won three MVP awards, was selected to five All-Star teams, four All-Tournament teams, and won one Best Offensive Player award.  During his career, he played in over 3,000 games compiling more than 7,000 hits with a lifetime batting average over .500.

 

In 1987, he was the Coach of the Year.  It was his desire to play for and manage teams who displayed a high degree of professionalism and sportsmanlike conduct, which he did.
