Catherine started playing recreation league ball in South Norfolk in 1970. She joined the "Virginians" in 1973 before settling in with the Bay Skippers in 1974 for 13 seasons.
She competed in 13 State Tournaments along with Regionals and Nationals. In 1978 her team won the Metro and won The Regional and placed 7th in the Nationals in Jacksonville, Florida. Catherine played for the Red Barons and the "Travelers" before putting her own team together in 1990. Her team won the City of Newport News and the Lena Freemont Memorial Tournament.
Playing with the best Women's teams in Tidewater, she has played as far North as New York to South in Florida and out to Tennessee for National Tournaments.
