Statistics prove both on the field and on paper that Cee Bass Realty was the best slow-pitch team to have played in and represented Portsmouth.  Cee Bass was also listed with the top rated teams to have ever played in Tidewater Virginia.  Cee Bass was formed in 1968 and played through 1973.  Their career was short, but action-packed.  In addition to playing the best teams locally, their schedule included many of the best teams in the country.  Cee Bass played over 120 games each year and had a winning record better than 80%.  Each year, they won the Portsmouth City League Championship.  In 1972 and 1973, they won the Central Atlantic Men’s Major Slow-Pitch Regional Tournament.  In 1972, they represented Tidewater in the Men’s Major National Slow-Pitch Tournament in Jacksonville, Florida.  They returned to the National tournament in 1973 held in Cleveland, Ohio.
