Curtis Bordeaux of Norfolk Olympia was a very active and generous sponsor.  His sponsorship included a men’s, women’s and co-ed team.  He sponsored twelve to thirteen tournaments a year during the twelve years prior to his induction in the TVASA weekend tournament programs.  In addition to tournament play, he also sponsored entries in the local Norfolk and Virginia Beach city leagues each year since 1980.  Also, every Metro tournament in the early and mid 1980s and later the TVASA Metro Regional Qualifier tournaments had an entry sponsored by Norfolk Olympia.  In 1983, his team participated in a Men’s National Invitational tournament in Middlefield, Ohio.  Since 1987, he sponsored a co-ed team that participated in four Central Atlantic Regional tournaments (1987-1990), the Eastern Area tournament in 1989 and the Co-Ed National tournament in 1988.  Curtis’ love for the game of softball was well expressed in his sponsorship throughout the years.
