In 1974, Danny began his softball career with First Nazarene and retired in 1990 after seventeen successful seasons. During that time, he averaged sixty homeruns a year, batted .627 and led his team in RBIs each year. Danny played in two National tournaments, the Church in 1982 and the Men’s Class B in 1983. He also played in six Regional tournaments and ten Metro tournaments. He was MVP seventeen times and All-Tidewater three years. In addition, Danny played in six Nazarene National Tournaments and his team won four of them. He was named on the All-Tournament Team in 1985 and 1986. Each year, he won the homerun title. In 1985, he was named MVP. In 1991, the player leading the tournament in homeruns was given the Danny Moss Award. Danny was a leader on the team as well as in the church. |
