Dennis Emhoff recently retired from military service in the Navy.  He played at the top level of slow-pitch softball all over the United States and the world.  Dennis played on the All-Navy Team eleven times and the Armed Forces National Team seven times.  Overall, he played in thirty National tournaments on both military and civilian teams and was selected All-American on eight occasions.  Three times Dennis received MVP honors in National tournaments.  He was considered by many as the best player from the Navy.  In his career, he made MVP twenty-five times.  While in the Tidewater area, his teams won five City and five Tidewater Championships.  He had a lifetime batting average of over .600.
