Dewey started playing in 1975.  In 1995, he made All-American in the Men’s Master Forty & Over National tournament.  In between, he played in two National tournaments, six Regional tournaments and eight Metro tournaments.  For three straight years, he was selected to the All-Tidewater Team and played the reigning National Champions at Met Park.  Dewey batted well over .600 and averaged over forty homeruns a season.  He won at least one MVP award each year for twenty-one seasons.
