The Quality In Lake Wright has been involved in softball for the past 45 years. In 1965, they sponsored the "Travelers" women's softball team and they kept that sponsorship for 5 years.

The Lake Wright has also sponsored men's softball teams and several youth teams that are involved in various sports beside softball. They have hosted several Central Atlantic regional Umpire's Clinics as well as local umpire clinics. They have also provided meeting facilities for various coaches meetings and team functions. The Lake Wright has also hosted the Hall of Fame Inductions ceremony for many years.

The Tidewater Virginia Softball Hall of Fame is honored to welcome the Quality Inn Lake Wright into the Tidewater Softball Hall of Fame.
