Hugh ‘Doc’ Litchfield

Player

Inducted 1985

‘Doc,’ as everyone called him, first started playing softball in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1964 and, at the time of his induction, continued to coach.  He guided his Azalea Baptist Church team to two National tournaments (finishing fifth in 1980) and, as a player, won over five hundred games.  Aside from his many other duties as player, coach and pastor, Doc found time to serve as the ASA Church Commissioner for our area.  For his long and devoted support of softball, Doc is one of the most respected people in the game.
