This outstanding ballplayer had distinguished himself by playing and coaching for thirty-three years.  George was a player for nineteen years and Most Valuable Player in the Peninsula Invitational Tournament in 1971.  His coaching accomplishments included second-place in the 1984 TVASA Metro 12&Under Youth (Girls), 1985 and 1986 Champions of the TVASA Metro 12&Under Youth (Girls), and won second-place in the Central Atlantic Regional Youth.  In 1986, his team won the Championship of the Central Atlantic Regional Youth and placed seventeenth in the National Youth in Marietta, Georgia.  In 1987, his team placed second in the TVASA Metro 15& Under Youth and sixth in the Central Atlantic Regional Youth.  At the time of his induction, he continued to play and coach youth.
