In 1983, the Tidewater Virginia ASA softball community established a Hall of Fame to recognize its outstanding citizens in softball.  In 2004, the name was changed to the Tidewater Virginia Softball Hall of Fame to enable the Committee to consider nominations from all softball organizations.
 

The desire of this Hall of Fame is to honor those individuals
and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the Tidewater Virginia softball program and to the game of softball.
