From 1972 through 1975, Jack Lane Sr. played the game of softball.  In 1976, he found his heart was in managing and, for the next 17 years, he led such teams as Catherine’s, Robo Wash, Clancey’s, Superior Pest Control and eleven other teams with basically the same players.  When not involved on the playing field, he was there watching.  Jack became involved in the administrative side of TVASA and accepted the job as the District Commissioner of Chesapeake and then Deputy Commissioner of Chesapeake.  He served on the Players’ Advisory Board for seven years and was Vice-President of TVASA in 1983.  TVASA was honored to have Jack Lane Sr. serve us on and off the field.
