Joanette Lowery, affectionately known as "Jo Jo" started playing softball with the Norfolk Youth Program in 1971.
As an adult, she played for the Rockettes, the Travelers and Thirty Something.
Softball was in her blood and she could not wait for game day.
She played in 7 Metros, 7 Regionals, 2 States and 9 Nationals. She was named All-American twice. In her 29 year career, she has been named to many All-Star teams and received 5 MVP awards.
