John Haney passed away on August 23, 1995, at the age of forty-one.  During his twelve-year career, his team played in over fifty tournaments.  They won two City Championships and two Co-Ed City Championships.  They attended one Regional tournament.  He dedicated his personal time to his team – Haney’s Girls, as they were nicknamed.  They came first in his life.  He made sure they stayed together for the twelve years he coached.  John was the first one on the scene to lend a helpful hand or loan a buck if need be.  His coaching was insurmountable in camaraderie.  His memorial float in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a showcase of how much this man was loved and will be remembered by everyone that loved him.
