Kenny Coles started playing softball in 1961 and continued to play through 1990 for a total of thirty years. Known as a power-hitter with a good throwing arm, he was quickly picked up by such big teams as Cee Bass Realty, Atlantic Sales, and Virginia Beach Piledrivers. Kenny played in eight Metro, eight Regional, and four National tournaments. He received over fifteen MVP’s and was an All-Star ten times. He batted over six hundred and averaged approximately thirty homeruns per year. Kenny stated that his biggest thrill in softball was being named MVP in the 1972 Central Atlantic Men’s Major Tournament. . * - Deceased |
