Kenny played softball for twenty-three years from 1975 until 1997.  He played in six National tournaments, six Regional tournaments, and six Metro tournaments.  He had a lifetime batting average over .600 with at least ten MVP awards.  Kenny made the Tidewater All-Star Team five times.  In addition, Kenny played in eighteen National Firefighter Tournaments making the All-Tournaments Team four times.  Kenny had an accurate arm and exceptional speed which made him one of the best outfielders in Tidewater.  He won several fielder awards.
