Kevin Darden, popularly know as ‘Muscles,’ started playing softball over twenty years ago.  In that time, he played in over 3,000 games and hit at least 3,000 homeruns.  He played on some of the better teams in our area such as Bobcats, C&R Construction, Larry’s Painting and Clancy’s.  These teams won the TVASA Championship eight times with Muscles’ long-ball leading the way.  Muscles made the All-Tidewater Team eight times.  He played in five National tournaments, making the All-American Team five times.  Muscles won over fifty MVP awards including one in a National tournament.  Kevin Darden was a quiet man on and off the field.  He let his bat do the talking.
