Lenny Ballance sponsored a team known as L. E. Ballance Electrical Services beginning in 1983.  This softball tradition lived on through 2005 for a total of twenty-three years.  The L. E. Ballance team stood out as one of the longest running sponsors in the Tidewater area. Lenny sponsored men’s, co-ed, and girls’ fast-pitch teams.  During the twenty-three seasons, his teams won numerous tournaments.  They also finished third-place twice in two Virginia State Tournaments.  We owed Mr. Ballance a lot for his loyalty to the sport of softball in the Tidewater area.
