Louis ‘Lou’ Parsons

Lou Parsons started managing in 1977 with a church team. From 1977 through 1987, he managed men’s teams and won several Norfolk City League titles and ASA tournaments. Lou played or managed in over 150 ASA tournaments with his team winning numerous titles. From 1987 to the time of his induction, Lou managed his first-love, a co-ed team named Norfolk Olympia. In 1991, his team repeated as the Virginia Beach League Co-Ed Champions. In addition, in 1991, his women’s team, the Eljays, won both the Virginia Beach League title and the TVASA Metro Championship. Lou’s accomplishments as a manager were numerous. He managed in 13 Metro tournaments both in men’s and co-ed. Also, he managed in four Central Atlantic Regional Co-Ed tournaments with championships in 1987 and 1989 and one Men’s Class D Area Co-Ed tournament. Lou Parsons earned the respect and title of “Mr. Co-Ed.” |
