Marcia began playing softball in the Youth Division in 1969 at the age of thirteen.  Her career spanned twenty-eight years and she continued to play at the time of her induction.  While playing as a youth, she attended two Regional tournaments and four Metro tournaments.  During her career, Marcia played with The Travelers, Thirty Something, and Superior Pest Control, all women’s powerhouses.  Marcia played in four National tournaments, eight Regional tournaments and fourteen Metro tournaments.  She won at least six MVP awards and made the Tidewater All-Star Team five times.
