Mickey Call

Mickey was an eighteen-year veteran of umpiring.  Since coming to Tidewater, Mickey worked five ASA National tournaments (Men’s Class A Slow Pitch, Men’s Class A Industrial, Men’s Church, Men’s Major Slow Pitch, and Men’s Super).  In addition, he umpired the Women’s Inter-service Championship and the Armed Forces Championships in Europe.  To go along with the National exposure, Mickey worked over fifteen Regional tournaments in both fast- and slow-pitch.  In addition to his work on the field, Mickey was a great part of the Umpires’ Association off the field.  He served as a Deputy under Conrad Parker for eight years, the Umpires’ tournament director for eight years, in charge of special projects for seven years and the head of the Umpire Development Program for eight years.
