Robert L. ‘Bob’ Jones

Bob Jones played and coached from the early eighties to the time of his induction.  As a player, he received three MVP awards and was on two All-Star teams.  He coached slow-pitch for twenty-two years in Class D through the Majors mostly with the Dryden and Son teams.  Bob coached in six Metro tournaments, one State tournament, four Regional tournaments and nine National tournaments.  His team was the Newport News Champions three times and won many local tournaments.  Bob’s love for the game kept him involved for over twenty-five years.
