Risa Durrett was involved in softball for 15 years. During this time, she played on teams such as the Bay Skippers, Travelers, Thirty Something and Nanley's. Risa started in the youth program and went on to play in high school where she was a team captain and she received 2 All-Star and 2 MVP awards.
She continued her softball career for 4 years while in college. In 1979, she founded the Club Softball Program which became an inter-collegiate sport later at James Madison University. She was team captain 2 years. She participated in Metro, Regional, State and 9 National Tournaments.
Risa has
also been named to 10 All-Star Teams.
An injury in 1996 ended her softball career.
