Robert Kightlinger, or "Bear" as he is known in the softball community, started umpiring in 1976 and has umpired for thirty-one years. Bear has umpired in twelve Metro tournaments, eight State tournaments, four Regional tournaments and two National tournaments.
Bear has contributed forty-seven years to his life as a played, manager and umpire. In those forty-seven years, he has won numerous awards for his contributions to the game.
