Rusty Carter had a career spanning twenty years that included more than 1,000 games. He played sixteen years with Alliance Christian Church of Portsmouth who was inducted in the TVASA Hall of Fame in 1995. Rusty had a lifetime batting average of .510, over 1,500 RBIs and 400 homeruns. Defensively, he played first base flawlessly. He received five MVP awards and was named the Outstanding Player in the TVASA Church Championship in 1987. He was named to the TVASA All-Metro Team twice. In his hometown of Williamsburg, he was named an All-Star five consecutive seasons. |
