Billy Sparrow started playing softball in 1960 and continues to plat through 2008 for a total of 48 years. During the 1960's and part of the 1970's, he was one of the better players in our area. He played for such teams as Norview Billiards and Robo Wash.
His job took him to Pennsylvania and Maryland where he also participated in softball.
After returning to the Tidewater area, he played in the Senior's program.
He has played in 6 State Tournaments, 2 Regionals and 10 National and World Tournaments where hw received 10 MVP awards and All-American status. He has a lifetime batting average of over 500.
Billy will be inducted into the Legends Category as
a Slow Pitch player.
